These NCFE qualifications are designed to fit around work and family. You read the teaching material, watch the lesson videos, write your assignments and submit them when you are ready. Tutor support is available by appointment whenever you want it.
Learn when it suits you
Every unit is on our online campus: teaching material written from the NCFE specification, short lesson videos with captions, and worked examples. Study early, late or at weekends.
Tutor support by appointment
You are not on your own. Book a one-to-one session with your tutor whenever you need one, and message them between appointments. We aim to reply within two working days.
Assessed by portfolio, no exam
You build a portfolio of written assignments. It is marked by our assessors, quality assured internally and externally quality assured by NCFE. There is no examination to sit.

Which courses are not self-paced
Not every qualification can be studied this way, and we would rather say so plainly. Our Functional Skills qualifications in English, maths and digital skills are assessed by externally set assessments taken under invigilation, so those have to be arranged with us. Our Technical Occupational Entry diplomas and Level 5 diplomas require an assessor to observe you carrying out practical tasks, which cannot be done unsupervised.
