NCFE Level 1 Functional Skills Qualification in English

Course overview
This Level 1 qualification develops practical English across three components: speaking, listening and communicating; reading; and writing. Learners practise taking part in discussions, understanding straightforward texts, and writing clearly and accurately for everyday and workplace purposes.
Delivery is 100% online with tutor support and flexible pacing, ideal for adults returning to learning or preparing for further qualifications where Level 1 English is required.
Reading and writing are assessed through NCFE-set assessments, and speaking, listening and communicating through structured tasks. Functional Skills English is recognised by employers across the UK.
