18.1 Purpose and Scope

The Data and AI School of London is committed to acting ethically in all its business activities. This policy sets out the school's approach to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in its operations and supply chain, in compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

18.2 Commitment

The school does not knowingly engage with any individual, business, or platform provider that is involved in modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, or any form of exploitation. This commitment applies to all suppliers including digital platform providers, software vendors, and any associate tutors or subcontractors.

18.3 Supply Chain Due Diligence

18.4 Indicators of Modern Slavery

All staff are trained to recognise potential indicators of modern slavery in learners, including signs of physical abuse or malnourishment, appearing to be controlled by another person, reluctance to discuss personal circumstances, or working excessive hours for a third-party employer. Any concern must be reported to the Designated Safeguarding Lead immediately under Policy 11.

18.5 Reporting

Any concern about modern slavery within the school's supply chain should be reported to the Head of Centre. Concerns about a learner's immediate safety are escalated to the DSL and, where appropriate, to the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) or the police.

This policy is reviewed annually. Next review: April 2027. Approved by: Head of Centre. © Data and AI School of London, April 2026. NCFE Approved Centre.
